Title: "It's Only Me": A life of The Reverend Theodore Bayley Hardy
Author: David Raw
Published: 1988
Comments: The fascinating story of the Rev. Theodore Bayley Hardy (V.C., D.S.O., M.C.), the most decorated non-combatant of the First World War. Hardy was known for his shouting "It's only me!" to the soldiers in the trench as he approached.
Due to its specialised nature (and the lack of information on the topic), the book can tend to be a bit dry at times; however, this will not deter any reader that is interested in the topic. This is an incredible story with a powerful message of courage and humility. It is well written, informative and enlightening.
