Bio
Caleb is a writer, prolific reader and antiquarian. He is currently studying courses majoring in History, Politics, and Religion, as part of a Bachelor of Arts program at the University of Queensland. His own scholarly interests include Medieval and Modern European history, British history, international politics, philosophy of religion, Islamic terrorism, and book collecting.
Caleb is equally at home both adventuring in the wild, or sitting quietly in his favourite chair with a good book.

When people today imagine the ‘Renaissance’, they typically think of the transitional period that ushered in the glorious modern era, and marked the end of what Petrarch termed the ‘Dark Ages’. However, the reality is far less definite than this perspective allows. Seb Falk, in his book, The Light Ages, argues that the Medieval period is really one of ‘scientific interest and inquiry’.
