Bio
David Furse-Roberts is a published author, respected historian and an admitted lawyer. He holds a PhD in History from the University of New South Wales and degrees in arts, law, and legal practice from the University of Sydney, the University of New England, and the Australian National University, respectively. David is a speechwriter in the Parliament of New South Wales, a research fellow at the Menzies Research Centre and a recognised authority on Australia's longest-serving prime minister, Sir Robert Menzies.
In 2021, David published God and Menzies: The Faith that Shaped a Prime Minister and his Nation and edited a collection of Menzies' speeches, Menzies: The Forgotten Speeches. He has also edited collections of speeches by Liberal prime ministers John Howard and Tony Abbott. He is also the author of The Making of a Tory Evangelical: Lord Shaftesbury and the Evolving Character of Victorian Evangelicalism.
